Administration and Finance Committee - Dick Riegel, chair
Mission Statement: This committee will ensure that the administrative responsibilities assigned to the session by the Book of Order are fulfilled.
Rationale: The Book of Order assigns a number of administrative functions to the session including the maintenance of various rolls, the preparation of budgets, the oversight of financial matters, and the instruction and examination of officers. The maintenance, protection, and support of buildings, grounds, and equipment are additional responsibilities, which allow the mission of the church to be carried out effectively and safely. These are not on-going programmatic functions, and thus they are consolidated in the work of one committee.

Mission Statement: This committee will seek to enhance the well being of our congregation’s life by providing for opportunities for spiritual growth in small groups and fellowship activities in multiple settings. It will facilitate inviting others to become disciples of Jesus Christ and members of this particular church, and assist in the incorporation of new members into this community of faith.
Rationale: A major purpose of the Church is to tell the Good News of Jesus Christ to others and invite them to become disciples. When one is invited to become a disciple, he or she will look at the particular community of faith in which that discipleship will be nurtured. It is important that the community itself is strong, and its members are cared for, receiving instruction and support, and enjoying life together.

Discipleship Committee – Meg Artley, chair
Mission Statement: The Discipleship Committee’s mission is to nurture and support the CCPC community so that together church members can see and experience joy in their gifts, in daily life and in service of God’s purposes in the church and in the wider world.
Rationale: As Discipleship takes root at CCPC, the Discipleship Committee is shifting its role from “inviting” to increased “nurturing” -- fostering an environment where more and more CCPC members will feel comfortable about forming small groups and starting new initiatives in response to their gifts and God’s call. Also, Committee members wish to put more emphasis on the joy of using one’s gifts to serve God in our every day living as well as our interactions within our communities, nation and world.

Stewardship Committee -- Fred Schafrick, chair
God blesses each of us with special gifts, and as Christians our call is to use these gifts to help each other, and our community. Stewardship has traditionally been seen as financial support, yet today we recognize that individual talents shared in a community of faith are equally as important as financial gifts. Sharing enhances both personal and community spiritual growth. In addition to the Annual Stewardship Campaign, the Committee is responsible for other Special Offerings during the year.
