Worship

"Enter God's gates with Thanksgiving, and God's courts with praise"
Psalm 100:4

“Christian Worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the Triune God. In worship the people of God acknowledge God’s presence in the world and in their lives…Prayer is at the heart of worship. In prayer, through the Holy Spirit, people seek after and are found by the One True God who has been revealed in Jesus Christ.” These affirmations from the Book of Order of the PCUSA shape worship at CCPC.

Services are held each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. with the exception of the summer months when services are combined into one service at 10:00 a.m. Special worship services are held throughout the year to mark special celebrations of the seasons of the Church Year (Easter, Christmas Eve, Holy Week on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, Pentecost, etc.).

The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is celebrated at morning worship services on the first Sunday of each month. Communion is also celebrated on special days throughout the year. All Christian believers and their baptized children are welcome at the Lord's Table.

The sacrament of Baptism is administered during morning worship by arrangement with the pastors and the Session.

CCPC also provides nursery care for infants and small children throughout the morning on Sundays.
