Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church is located on Chevy Chase Circle at the intersection of Connecticut Ave. and Western Ave. on the border of Washington D.C. and Chevy Chase, Maryland (Montgomery County). We are a few miles south of the beltway from the Connecticut Ave. exit and within a few miles of all parts of NW Washington.
General Directions from the Beltway
- Take 495 to Beltway Exit 33 - Connecticut Avenue South, towards Chevy Chase/Washington, D.C.
- Go approximately three miles to Chevy Chase Circle. Be careful - There are several churches on Chevy Chase Circle.
- Take the fourth right in the circle, staying on Connecticut Avenue.
- Take the first left onto Oliver Street. You are now behind the church.
- Turn left into the parking lot.
Parking
Limited parking is available in the parking lot behind the church. Additional parking is available on nearby streets including Oliver Street and Chevy Chase Parkway. On Sundays, the Wachovia Bank next door on Connecticut Avenue allows us to use their parking lot. Do not park on Chevy Chase Circle or your car may be ticketed or towed!
Facilities for the Handicapped
There are specially designated handicapped parking spaces in the parking lot behind the church. Several additional spaces are designated handicapped or special needs for Sunday only. The church entrance for the handicapped is located via the parking lot entrance on Oliver Street. After entering, turn right into the hallway. The elevator is twenty feet on your left. Take the elevator to the second floor. Upon exiting the elevator, turn right to go to the sanctuary or left to go to the church offices.
From Downtown D.C. via Public Transportation
By Metro Bus: From McPherson Square or points thereafter, take L-2 or L-4 bus marked Chevy Chase Circle to end of line and cross the street to the church.
By Metro: Take Red Line Metrorail to Van Ness and exit to Connecticut Ave. east side for Northbound buses. Take any L Metro Bus marked Chevy Chase Circle to the end of line and cross the street. Buses on Sunday only run every half hour.
Take Red Line Metrorail to Friendship Heights and exit to the Western Ave. buses. Take any E Metro Bus to Connecticut Ave. & McKinley St., NW, and walk north on Connecticut Ave. to the church, which is on the right at the Circle. OR you can walk from Friendship Heights along Western Avenue, which is about 6 long blocks.
