The Rev. Molly Blythe Teichert began serving as Sr. Pastor and Head of Staff of the Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church in November 2009. She is a life-long Presbyterian and began serving the church as a young person on the General Assembly Youth Ministry Advisory Board, of the PCUS. Her work on this Board led her to participate on a Mission/Study Tour with the Presbyterian Church of Southern Africa. Her experiences of the church working for justice in the age of apartheid continues to inspire and inform her ministry. She has also served the National Council of Churches Worship and the Arts Division, the PC(USA) Southern Africa Education Program, and as a member of the Board of Directors for Auburn Theological Seminary. Molly has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Summa cum Laude, from the University of Michigan and a Master of Divinity degree from the Union Theological Seminary in New York. Her thesis research was conducted at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. She began her ministry as Associate Pastor of the Presbyterian Church on the Green in Bloomfield, NJ. She served for 11 years as Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Jefferson, NY where she was honored as “Woman of the Year in Religion.” Most recently, she served as Sr. Pastor and Head of Staff at the Presbyterian Church of Mt. Kisco, NY. Molly and her husband, Paul, are the parents of two daughters, Emma and Caroline. |

Rev. Lynn JostesAssociate Pastor for Christian Nurture |
The Rev. Lynn Jostes served CCPC as Church Educator from October 2002 until her ordination in October 2007. She continues to work primarily with the Christian Education and Connections Committees encouraging all aspects of spiritual formation and membership. She teaches classes regularly, serves as liturgist in worship, preaches occasionally, organizes Officer Training and retreats, provides resources and training for Church School teachers, meets with Adult Education planners and the Library Committee, promotes the education program of the congregation and encourages family ministries. She also supervises and supports the work of the Weekday Nursery School and After School Programs. Lynn is a native of Texas and has been a Certified Christian Educator in the Presbyterian Church for over 35 years, serving five congregations and one cluster across the denomination. She lives in the Friendship Heights area near the church, and enjoys musical theater, traveling and books. | |

Rev. Jane DuffieldInterim Associate Pastor |
The Rev. Jane Duffield began serving as the Interim Associate Pastor for Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church in October 2011. Jane is responsible for the ministries of pastoral care and mission. Additionally, she supervises the Youth Ministries Associate and oversees the youth program. Jane shares the responsibilities of leading worship, teaching and preaching with the other pastors. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jane has been active in the Presbyterian Church all her life. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York and a Master of Social Work degree from West Virginia University. Jane comes to ministry as a second career, having worked for many years as the spokesperson and News Bureau director at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Jane lives in Silver Spring and in her free time enjoys traveling and the fine arts. | |

Ian RichardsonChurch Administrator |
Ian Richardson’s main functions are the day-to-day running of all financial transactions within CCPC, and general oversight of the building, its systems – including the computer network - and the support staff. He serves as staff liaison for Administration and Finance Committee, and Support Services, but also works frequently with members of most other Committees. Ian joined the staff of CCPC in 1996 after a 27 year career with British Aerospace – most of that being in the Washington DC area. His engineering background has proven to be useful to CCPC on many occasions! Ian and his wife Ruthanne live in Fairfax, VA. They both enjoy music, and have rung hand bells with several of CCPC’s bell choirs. They also like to spend time at the beach in North Carolina. | |

Julie Vidrick EvansDirector of Music |
An active recitalist, Julie Vidrick Evanshas performed in solo concerts and with distinguished ensembles in cathedrals and concert halls across the U.S. and Eastern Europe. Julie earned a Master of Music from The Catholic University of America as a student of Wojciech Wojtasiewicz and a Bachelor of Music from James Madison University as a student of Richard McPherson. She has lead choirs as Choral Conductor-in-Residence at American University, Washington, D.C. and as Associate Conductor of Masterworks Chorus (now National Philharmonic Chorale). Additionally, Julie has served the American Guild of Organists as clinician, recitalist and officer. She was appointed Director of Music in 2007. | |

Joann MoorerAssistant Director of Music |
joined Chevy Chase Presbyterian in 2010 as Assistant Director of Music. She is a lyric soprano, Colleague of The American Guild of Organists and Graduate Performance Diploma candidate in voice at Peabody Conservatory where she works in the Opera Department as a graduate assistant. She has a rich professional background in sacred music, vocal performance, choral conducting and music education. Joann has taught K-12 choral and general music for St. Mary's County and Fairfax County Public Schools, earning superior ratings at choral festivals and competitions, directing musicals, show choirs as well as teaching courses in AP Music Theory, Piano Lab, Music Appreciation and Music Theater. She has previously served as Organist and Minister of Music at St. John's Episcopal Church in Centreville, Va. and St. George's United Methodist Church in Fairfax, Va. Joann has earned music degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude and Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins where she received a Peabody Career Development Grant. | |

Becky Wood is no stranger to Hearthstones and Firesides youth ministry, since she started there as a youth when her family joined CCPC. Becky is a graduate of Whittier College in Whittier, CA with a degree in Sociology and Political Science. She is an experienced community outreach manager and event planner with extensive experience on environmental projects, and is back in the area, helping the church plan and coordinate activities for its youth. She is also an avid runner and soccer player and plays in local social sports leagues on volleyball and football teams. She was confirmed at CCPC in 1999, was active in youth activities and mission trips, and was elected an Elder in the church she attended in California. Becky will work with us for 15 hours per week/60 hours per month (approximately) and is excited about joining the church staff to guide and engage our youth in exciting and creative ways. | |
Tempe ThomasDirector, After School Program |
Tempe Thomas serves as the director of the After-School Program, a school-age child care program which was established in 1987 by CCPC members. She has been the director since the very beginning of the program. Tempe supervises a staff of 7 as well as drives the church van to Murch Elementary School where she meets the children who are enrolled in CCPC After School Program and transports them back to CCPC for their after school hours. Tempe came to CCPC in 1986 as a teacher of three-year-olds in the Weekday Nursery School and joined the church in 1990. She has served as an usher and a Deacon. Tempe graduated from Mary Baldwin College in 1968 after which she was employed by American Airlines as a flight attendant for 13 years. She is the mother of two grown daughters and lives in Bethesda. | |

Megan FillebrownCommunications Coordinator |
Megan Fillebrown serves as the Communications Coordinator to CCPC, managing web and print publications. She joined CCPC after graduating from American University with a B.A. in Public Communication and a minor in Justice. |

Louise Trent serves as the Receptionist in the CCPC office, meeting and greeting visitors as well as members of the church. She also has the responsibility of maintaining the Visitor & Memorial Donor databases, answering phones, assisting with the Deacons, preparing the Gateway newsletter and other bulk mailings and other duties as assigned. Louise retired from the Department of Defense (DoD) where she served in Human Resources for 23 years prior to joining the CCPC staff. She is married to James Trent and is the mother of 4 grown children. | |

Rev. Dr. Robert AngusParish Associate |
The Rev. Dr. Robert Angus is Parish Associate. He is a retired Presbyterian minister who lives with his wife Jane at Ingleside Retirement Community in Washington. Bob has served four pastorates in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Illinois. He also served as a Chaplain in the United States navy and is retired with the rank of Captain. He is an active member of National Capital Presbytery serving on the Permanent Judicial Commission, the Nominating Committee and as chair of the Middle East Concerns committee. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts from George Washington University and a Doctor of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. During his last pastorate in Decatur, Illinois he served as adjunct Associate Profession of Religion at Milliken University. |

Kenneth LowenbergMinister of Music Emeritus |
Ken Lowenberg served as Minister of Music at CCPC from July 1968 to July 2006, when he retired and was named Minister of Music Emeritus. Ken began piano lessons in 2nd grade and organ lessons in high school. He received his B. Mus. Ed. degree from Northwestern University and his M. Mus. degree in Composition from the University of Southern California. After teaching music in public high schools in Indiana and Illinois for four years, he accepted a full scholarship to the College of Church Musicians at Washington Cathedral, where he studied a year with Paul Callaway and others and worked with the cathedral choir. Upon graduation, he began his ministry at Chevy Chase church, where he built up a music program including four graded choirs and a number of hand bell choirs, later adding the community concert series (Chevy Chase Concerts), and such groups as All Church Orchestra, Gospel Choir, Guitar Group, First Service Praise Team, Men’s Chorus, and others. He has been active in professional organizations, such as the American Guild of Organists and the Presbyterian Association of Musicians, holding local, regional, and national offices in both organizations and earning his FAGO (Fellow, American Guild of Organists) and CCM (Presbyterian Certified Church Musician). Ken composed a number of anthems and pieces for choirs and bell choirs during his CCPC years, many of which have been published, and he plans to do more composing in his retirement. |
