Every first Tuesday CCPC members arrive at 6:00 a.m. at Miriam’s Kitchen to prepare and serve a nutritious, fresh breakfast to over 160 appreciative guests. Following health and safety rules, we wear hats (baseball caps), long pants, shirts with sleeves, and closed-toe shoes. We wash our hands a lot. And we are always wearing smiles!! Under the direction of professionally trained and certified chefs and staff, we work until about 8:30 a.m.
Our volunteers are part of a wonderfully well-run program that serves over 87,000 meals a year, connects over 5,000 individuals to essential services through its case managers, and works toward providing permanent supportive housing.
