New Orleans Mission Trip for Youth and Adults

July 27 to August 2, 2008

Reservations are being taken now for the mission team of YOUTH and ADULTS who will go to New Orleans to assist the low-income, uninsured, disabled and elderly to rebuild and move back into their homes, nearly three years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck the area.

The Team will be hosted through the Project Homecoming of the Presbytery of South Louisiana.  The cost of the trip is $525 per person, including air fare.

To learn more about the mission trip or make a reservation, see the Mission Trip Flyer here, or contact Steve Robertson or Martin Brooks.
Shikokho Kenya Mission Trip
August 12-25, 2008

With renewed peace in Kenya, our plans for another mission trip are back on track. A group from CCPC will travel to Shikokho August 12-25, 2008 to evaluate progress in the different projects we support in the village, assess current needs, and celebrate our 20-year partnership with the people of the village of Shikokho in Western Kenya.  If you are interested in participating in the trip or in supporting the work, please contact Jim Shelhamer or Phil English, or call the church office.

The group hopes to take additional laptop computers to support the computer lab at the secondary school.  If you have a laptop to donate, the group would be happy to hear from you as well.

Our Vision:  to be a nurturing community inspired by Christ's love
to answer God's call to discover and use our gifts in joyful service.
