Rebecca Kahlenberg

SOCIAL SERVICES WORKER FOR THE TRANSITION ASSITANCE PROGRAM

Rebecca Kahlenberg came to CCPC at the end of 2014 as the Social Services Worker for the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), a CCPC outreach program. A native of New York, Rebecca brings much experience working with people experiencing homelessness and those facing other difficult challenges.

A mother of four, Rebecca was very involved as a volunteer in her children's schools and in community organizations. In 2007 she co-founded the non-profit organization MoverMoms (now KindWorks), which models the importance of community service to kids and promotes a range of projects to better the lives of others.  In 2011, Rebecca spearheaded an international service trip to El Salvador and she has been returning to volunteer at a school there as often as she can.

Serving clients at TAP is a great privilege for Rebecca.  She enjoys every aspect of the job, from interacting with clients and assisting them in obtaining documents needed for employment, school and housing, to being part of the Church team and working with an amazing group of Church volunteers.
