Advent 2025

2025 Advent Devotional

Each day of Advent, this devotional offers a gentle invitation to draw near — to Scripture, to stillness, and to the heart of God. Following the traditional Advent themes, you'll light the way week by week with hope, peace, joy and love, preparing not just for Christmas, but for Christ’s presence among us.

Paper copies car currently available in the Narthex. (contact Pastor Adele if you would like one mailed to you); electronic reader-versions will be available in Advent via our weekly Newsletters.

Advent is the four-week season leading up to Christmas when we prepare our hearts, our community, and our world for the coming of Christ’s light. In our tradition, Advent invites us to slow down, pay attention, and make space for hope, peace, joy, and love. It’s a time of holy expectation—not about rushing toward the holiday, but about noticing where God is already breaking in around us, especially in places longing for justice and compassion. All are welcome to journey with us as we light the candles, tell the stories, and practice the hope that transforms the world.

The Will to Dream: Advent Worship Series

Advent is a time for searching and waiting. We wait for the coming of Christ. We search for understanding, healing, and hope. We are filled with a holy longing—a sacred desire for a world made whole. From this longing comes the will to dream—a persistent courage to imagine, resist, and rebuild a better world.

Join us this Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany, as we turn to the wisdom of the prophets, lament systems that value power over people, and dream of what could be.
