Lent at CCPC

THE WORK OF IMAGINATION

February 18 – April 5, 2026

The season of Lent is a time of reflection, restoration and recommitment to the Way of Jesus, of justice, of compassion, and peace.

Lent begins in the ache, the questions, the tension between love and loss. It does not rush toward resolution, but invites us to slow down, to turn with honesty, and to journey with Jesus through wildness, confrontation, and cross, to new life. Along the way, we listen to voices from the margins, learn from stories of resistance and renewal, and remember that God meets us not in strength, but in surrender.

This is the work of imagination: to envision a world remade by mercy, to trust that healing is possible even in the shadow of empire, and to practice love that outlasts despair. Lent calls us into this holy labor—not as a solitary act, but as a communal path toward transformation.

Come. Let’s journey together in this holy season.

Rev. Molly Blythe Teichert and Rev. Adele Crawford

Lenten Spiral

The Work of Imagination Lenten Spiral is a resource for households, offering a simple daily practice that invites reflection, connection, and shared spiritual growth throughout the season.

Lent invites us into a slower, more intentional way of being—making space for questions, growth, and transformation. The Work of Imagination frames this season as holy labor, calling families to practice love, justice, and hope together even in the midst of uncertainty. Rooted in prophetic imagination, this Lent–Easter theme encourages us to imagine a world being remade by mercy and to take small, faithful steps toward that vision each day.

Lenten Devotional

Rooted in prophetic imagination, this Lent–Easter devotional invites individuals and communities to reflect on scripture through the lens of justice and mercy. Rather than rushing toward resolution, each week makes space to imagine healing, practice compassion, and trust that transformation is possible even in the midst of uncertainty.

Spend time each week reading the scripture and reflection. Ponder the provided questions or discuss them with someone in your home or your community.

We hope these resources gently guides you through Lent, Holy Week, and Easter—creating space for reflection, connection, and meaning along the way.

Special Offering:
One Great Hour of Sharing

Feb 18 – April 5

Around the world, millions of people lack access to sustainable food sources, clean water, sanitation, education, and opportunity. The work done in support of the causes supported by One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) — disaster, hunger, poverty, climate change, and immigration/migration and refugees—serves individuals and communities in need. This work provides people with safety, sustenance, and hope.

Received during the season of Lent, each gift to this special offering helps to improve the lives of people in these challenging situations. The Offering provides us a way to share God’s love with our neighbors in need. In fact, OGHS is the single, largest way Presbyterians come together every year to work for a better world.

“And what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”
Micah 6:8
