Nicole is a passionate early childhood educator who prides herself on being a lifelong learner.  She has spent nearly two decades in the early childhood field as a teacher assistant, lead teacher, assistant director, and director. She enjoys learning about new approaches within the field. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood development and a Master of Science degree in early childhood studies with a concentration in administration, management and leadership.  In her own words, Nicole states:

“ I firmly believe that every child is a unique individual with boundless potential, and I am dedicated to fostering their curiosity, creativity, and love for learning.”

“I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and communication with parents, educators, and community stakeholders to foster a strong support system for our preschool community.”

She previously served as the director of a church-based preschool in Annandale, Virginia, where she has worked for the last six years. Initially a morning-only preschool, the program expanded significantly during Nicole’s tenure in response to the needs of the community during the pandemic. Under Nicole’s leadership the school successfully grew into a full day program which now includes elementary school age before and after care. In her most recent position Nicole managed a team of over 20 staff members and filled the enrollment capacity with nearly 125 children under her supervision. She also successfully managed the county permit process for the expansion of the program’s capacity to 230 students.

Nicole is a native Washingtonian and resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she is usually the chauffeur to her three children; Corinne (13), Cardell (7), and Cassius (5) who all play different sports including field hockey, basketball, soccer, and baseball. Nicole also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Her favorite children’s book series is Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin. It is such a silly and fun read!
