An Evening with Kate Bowler
Wednesday, April 15 ● 7:00 PM
6th and I Streets, Washington, DCJoin Melissa Lindon and Pastor Adele Crawford to hear Duke Divinity School professor and NYTimes bestselling author Kate Bowler talk about finding joy amid life's hard circumstances. Afteward we'll move to a local watering hole to debrief for any who want to discuss what we've heard.
Bowler, whose new book Joyful, Anyway insists that joy is still possible even when life refuses to cooperate. She invites us into a conversation about joy that doesn’t require pretending everything is fine. Expect laughter, honesty, and the rare relief of being told the truth: you can’t always be happy—but you can be joyful, anyway. Bowler will be in conversation with Rachel Martin, the co-creator and host of NPR’s “Wild Card,” an interview game show about life’s biggest questions.
Purchase your tickets HERE.
RSVP below to let us know you're coming. We'll plan to meet at the venue, but let us know in the comments if you want to go down together with some others and we'll try to coordinate.
